Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs your use of Telemetry Kit's analytics services. By using our service, you agree to comply with this policy. Violations may result in suspension or termination of your account.
1. Prohibited Content
You may not use Telemetry Kit to track or analyze websites or applications that contain:
1.1 Illegal Content
- Content that violates applicable laws in any jurisdiction
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) - zero tolerance
- Content promoting terrorism or violent extremism
- Illegal drug sales or trafficking
- Human trafficking
- Stolen intellectual property or pirated content
1.2 Harmful Content
- Malware, viruses, or other malicious software
- Phishing or scam websites
- Content designed to harass, bully, or threaten individuals
- Doxxing or non-consensual exposure of personal information
- Revenge pornography or non-consensual intimate imagery
1.3 Deceptive Content
- Fake news sites designed to spread disinformation
- Impersonation of other businesses or individuals
- Fraudulent schemes or scams
- Misleading claims about products or services
2. Prohibited Activities
You may not engage in the following activities:
2.1 Abuse of Service
- Attempting to bypass rate limits or usage quotas
- Using automated tools to create multiple accounts
- Sharing account credentials with unauthorized parties
- Reselling or redistributing the service without authorization
- Using the service to benchmark competitors
2.2 Security Violations
- Attempting to gain unauthorized access to our systems
- Probing, scanning, or testing vulnerabilities without permission
- Interfering with or disrupting the service for others
- Deploying denial-of-service attacks
- Reverse engineering, decompiling, or disassembling our software
2.3 Data Misuse
- Using analytics data to identify, track, or profile individuals
- Combining our data with other sources to re-identify users
- Selling or sharing raw analytics data with third parties
- Using data for purposes beyond your stated use case
2.4 Spam and Abuse
- Generating fake or artificial traffic to inflate metrics
- Using the service to facilitate spam or unsolicited communications
- Click fraud or ad fraud schemes
- Abusing the API in ways that degrade service for others
3. Privacy Requirements
As a privacy-first analytics platform, we have strict requirements around privacy:
3.1 Required Practices
You MUST:
- Mention use of analytics in your privacy policy
- Honor Do Not Track signals (our SDK does this automatically)
- Obtain consent where required by law (e.g., GDPR cookie consent)
- Respond to data subject requests from your users
- Keep your SDK integration up to date
3.2 Prohibited Practices
You MUST NOT:
- Collect personal identifiable information (PII) through custom events
- Track users without appropriate disclosure
- Use our SDK on sites targeting children under 16
- Circumvent DNT signal detection
- Combine our analytics with invasive tracking methods
- Use our service to facilitate profiling or surveillance
3.3 PII in Custom Events
When configuring custom events, do NOT include:
- Names or usernames
- Email addresses
- Phone numbers
- Physical addresses
- Financial information
- Health information
- Government IDs
- Any other data that could identify an individual
4. Technical Restrictions
4.1 API Usage

4.2 SDK Implementation
- Use only the official SDK or documented API endpoints
- Do not modify the SDK to bypass privacy features
- Keep SDK versions reasonably up to date
- Follow integration documentation
4.3 Data Export
- Export functionality is for your own use only
- Do not automate exports beyond reasonable business needs
- Do not share raw exported data publicly
5. Reporting Violations
5.1 How to Report
If you become aware of any violation of this AUP, please report it to:

- Include: Description of violation, evidence if available, affected URLs
5.2 What We Investigate
- Violations of this AUP
- Violations of our Terms of Service
- Illegal activity
- Security vulnerabilities (report to [email protected])
5.3 Response Time
- CSAM reports: Immediate action, reported to authorities
- Security issues: Response within 24 hours
- Other violations: Response within 5 business days
6. Enforcement
6.1 Violation Consequences
Depending on severity, violations may result in:

6.2 Appeal Process
If you believe an enforcement action was taken in error:
- Email [email protected] within 14 days
- Explain why you believe the action was incorrect
- Provide any supporting evidence
- We will review and respond within 10 business days
6.3 No Refunds
Accounts terminated for AUP violations are not eligible for refunds.
6.4 Data Handling
- Free Tier: Data retained per our ownership rights
- Paid Tiers: Data deleted within 30 days of termination
- Legal Holds: Data may be preserved if required for legal proceedings
